Jan 16, 2015 (newstodate): 2014 was a tough, but positive year for Chapman Freeborn in the Nordic region.
-2014 was actually the most positive year for us so far, says Kim Borgaard as Regional Sales Manager Nordic, based in Copenhagen with responsibility for the strategic development of the company's operations in Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland.
-The activities in 2014 were heavily marked by the strong demand for ad-hoc missions carrying relief and disaster shipments and staff to the world's trouble spots, not least in the light of the Ebola outbreak in West Africa. This segment was indeed one of the strongest growing in the brokering business.
-As for the commercial segment, the European economy continued to grow at rather modest, albeit positive levels, with the energy sector generating sustained business opportunities for us.
-After a successful year 2014 we expect to see further growth ahead in all sectors, and with the entrance of new competitors in the market we are flexing our muscles to secure another good fight for business, says Mr Borgaard.
Chapman Freeborn established its Nordic presence with the opening of the office in Denmark from March 2011 with Kim Borgaard as Chapman Freeborn Regional Sales Manager Nordic, adding a new sales office in Sweden with Christian Stridsberg as sales manager Sweden from August 2012.
