Jan 05, 2015 (newstodate): Finnair continues the sale-lease back process of aircraft started in December 2014, to support the financing of its new Airbus A350 fleet.
On December 30. 2014, the company announced an MoU with Doric Asset Finance GmbH & Co. KG for the sale and leaseback of six ATR72 aircraft, with the transaction expected to be closed by the end of March 2015.
On December 17, 2014, Finnair announced an MoU with GOAL German Operating Aircraft Leasing for sale-lease back of three Embraer 190 aircraft, followed by an MoU with Infinity Aviation Capital LLC for a similar transaction comprising three Embraer 170 aircraft currently flying on a lease contract with Mexican operator Aeromexico Connect.
The proceeds from the transactions will be used to finance Finnair's fleet investments in the coming years including the 19 Airbus A350 XWB aircraft on orders, with deliveries to start in 2015.
