Jan 07, 2015 (newstodate): Lufthansa Cargo expects to see a significant boom in the implementation of the e-AWB in the Danish market in 2015.
-We did indeed see the number of e-AWBs growing in the last quarter of 2014, actually increasing week by week, says Michael Schoop, Lufthansa Cargo Country Manager Denmark.
-Our experience is that more and more forwarders are now on the move, including not least several of the largest companies in the market, boding well for a significant rise in e-AWB volumes this year.
-What we are waiting for now is to see the call to another workshop to spread the information again, update us on the actual status and make sure that all companies are encouraged to solve whatever snags that may remain before they can participate in the process.
-As SAS Cargo is leading the process in Denmark, they have the initiative in this respect, but I expect that this workshop will be high on the agenda from the start of this year, says Mr Schoop.
