Jan 20, 2015 (newstodate): Starting from January 22, 2015, Icelandair Cargo will offer a weekly freighter flight from Keflavik on Iceland to Boston, USA.
The new service is driven by ever-growing demands in the US market for fresh seafood where Iceland has managed to grow its share, with seafood exports reaching the US customers within 48 hours after the fish is harvested.
Icelandair Cargo is now scheduling the Boston freighter service until Easter when results will be assessed as a basis for decisions on continued flights on the route.
Icelandair Cargo also operates direct freighter flights from Iceland to New York, with three weekly rotations.
