Jan 26, 2015 (newstodate): The Dutch aircraft manufacturer Fokker went bust and ceased production in 1996. But the Fokker aircraft are still very much in demand around the world.
In 2014, no less than 30 Fokker aircraft changed hands, including 13 Fokker 50, 10 Fokker 70 and seven Fokker 100.
In operations with airlines on all continents are still over 500 Fokker aircraft, most of them flying with airlines in South America.
Over time, Fokker built 586 Fokker 27, 213 Fokker 50, 47 Fokker 70 and 283 Fokker 100 aircraft.
