Jan 30, 2015 (newstodate): The Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority has now approved the sale of Flybe UK's stake of ownership of Flybe Nordic to Finnish investors StaffPoint Holding Ltd and G.W. Sohlberg Ltd.
After completion of the sale expected to be closed in early February 2015, StaffPoint will hold 45 percent, GWS 15 and Finnair 40 percent of the company.
Flybe Nordic owns fully the Finnish subsidiary Flybe Finland, which is in charge of Finnair's regional airline operations.
Flybe Finland currently operates to domestic and European destinations from Helsinki on behalf of Finnair on a contract-flying basis as well as flights to five domestic destinations and to Tartu, Estonia and Norrkoping, Sweden at its own commercial risk.
In 2011, Flybe and Finnair purchased Finnish Commuter Airlines in a joint venture with Flybe owning 60 percent and Finnair 40 percent of the joint company, Flybe Nordic, with Flybe in charge of the operative management of the new company.
