Jan 14, 2015 (newstodate): The Danish Armed Forces has signed a contract with Blue Water Shipping for transport to and from the North Atlantic, running from January 2015 until December 2017, with provisions for annual extensions.
The agreement covers air and sea freight, logistics for The Danish Armed Forces' drills, crew changes on the inspection ships as well as full charter in connection with the Sirius Patrol's expeditions in Greenland.
In the North Atlantic, the Danish Armed Forces' primary tasks include patrolling with inspection ships and vessels, search and rescue services, enforcement of sovereignty and environment surveillance.
