Jan 23, 2015 (newstodate): One carrier in Eastern Europe obviously not burdened by the current troubles over Russia/Ukraine is the Belarus airline Belavia.
The carrier expects to see its passenger volumes rising by 10 percent in 2015 due to more flights and new routes served with larger aircraft like the Boeing 737-800.
The carrier is also seeing its transit traffic volumes rising, adding new business besides the traditional point-to-point traffic to and from Minsk.
The carrier has just taken delivery of its first Boeing 737-800 aircraft, with two more to follow and all to be received on a lease contracts.
