Jan 06, 2015 (newstodate): A harsh economic environment is forcing another Russian carrier to suspend scheduled passenger flights.
From January 14, 2015, Ak Bars Aero, based at Bugulma Airport in Bugulma, Russia, will cease scheduled flights on its extensive domestic route network due to a fall in passenger volumes, rising costs and the stop of state subsidies to many domestic routes.
The carrier will not declare bankruptcy, however, continuing to offer charter flights and other commercial aviation business.
