Jan 16, 2015 (newstodate): A new airline is under formation in Greenland - Aluu Airlines.
According to the Greenland newspaper Sermitsiaq, the project is initiated by Pele Broberg, a former Air Greenland pilot, and Kuno Fencker, Royal Arctic Lines Chairman of the Board.
Plans are to introduce ATR aircraft on domestic flights and a larger Airbus aircraft on the Transatlantic route to Denmark.
The project managers claim that a strong investor is behind the idea of the new carrier while Aluu Airlines is yet to apply for an AOC to start flights, with July 2015 as an early date for entry into service.
