WFS first established business in a new cargo terminal at the airport on May 1, 2006, after winning a 30 years' full scope cargo handling concession contract making the company the second cargo handler at Copenhagen Airport after Spirit Air Cargo Handling.

Swissport launched cargo handling business at Copenhagen Airport from July 1, 2012, when it took over the former 4,200 sq m Novia Cargo Terminal on the airport's eastern premises, left vacant after Spirit Air Cargo Handling's move to new facilities from March 13, 2012.

Its existing facilities at the airport include two cargo terminals with a total area of nearly 10,000 sq m of warehouse space and office accommodation.
