Sep 02, 2014 (newstodate): While Antonov's cooperation with Russian partners that produced aircraft like the AN-124 and AN-225 may be very much in the balance, a future with EU partners may instead become a possibility.
A delegation from the EU Representation in Ukraine has visited the Antonov plant to learn about the company's capabilities in aircraft design, tests and construction.
The delegation also visited wind tunnel, computer design rooms, flight simulators and test−piloting stands, assembly shops of prototype−production facilities, and ANTONOV Serial Plant.
The parties agreed on plans for implementing EU standards in the work of Antonov, and also considered the question on involving European lease companies to promote aircraft of the AN−148 and AN−158 family into the world market.
