Sep 09, 2014 (newstodate): Russia's Ministry of Emergency has decided to add the Superjet 100 aircraft to its fleet.
The ministry has placed an order for two Superjet 100 to be equipped as medivac and emergency relief airport with medical facilities and elaborate communications.
The aircraft will be delivered in 2015 and equipped with extra fuel tanks stretching the operational range to up to 6,800 km.
The ministry's fleet now comprises six IL-76TD, six BE-200 as well as two AN-148100EM aircraft.
