Sep 01, 2014 (newstodate): Air Serbia has come off to a strong start with the firm support of its new equity owner, Etihad.
During the first half of this year, the carrier has transported 944,000 passengers which is an increase by 70 percent, y-o-y, with the ailing predecessor JAT suffering in 2013.
Cargo-wise, the development is positive as well as Air Serbia grew volumes by 65 percent, y-o-y, to 907 tonnes while revenues were also up by 32 percent.
Again, the weak base in 2013 in itself makes for a rosy picture when H1 2014 is considered.
