Sep 05 (newstodate): St Petersburg Pulkovo Airport will have to look further into the future to see Ryanair aircraft coming in.
Ryanair's plans were to launch flights between Dublin and St Petersburg from April 1, 2014, with three weekly rotations. This was however not realized.
Expectations are now that the flights may be started only in 2015, if warranted by the market. Meaning that so far, preparations have been shelved.
In November 2012, Ryanair was designated by Ireland as the carrier to serve a new route between Dublin and St Petersburg, based on the air services agreement from 1993 between the two states, and the carrier has also been designated as the second Irish carrier to operate into Moscow.
