Sep 26, 2014 (newstodate): Moscow Sheremetyevo International Airport's Cargo complex Sheremetyevo has upgraded its temperature-controlled infrastructure with new equipment and facilities.
Starting operations from this month, the new facilities are designed to ensure the integrity of temperature-controlled pharmaceutical products throughout the ground handling process in support of AirBridgeCargo's new Boeing 747F services from Basel in Switzerland, a center of many leading life sciences organizations.
Cargo complex Sheremetyevo has implemented refrigerated vehicles and a 580 sq m pharmaceutical warehouse to handle temperature-controlled products, including a unique laboratory to complete the obligatory procedures required to certify pharmaceutical products for importation into Russia.
With the new once-weekly freighter operation from September 2014, ABC Airlines is now offering Swiss pharma customers airfreight services to Asian cities including Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong, Zhengzhou, Chengdu, Seoul and Tokyo with less than 48-hour connections via the ABC hub at Moscow Sheremetyevo International Airport.
