Sep 10, 2014 (newstodate): The long-awaited decision on the future of the KLM/AF Group's freighter airline, Martinair seems still to be unsettled.
At least, a decision has now been taken to phase out the fleet comprising the carrier's five MD-11F freighter by the end of 2016, but so far the Martinair brand is surviving, pending an eventual decision on its fate.
After 2016, the Group will still offer main-deck capacity on two of currently four Boeing 747-400ERF and two Boeing 777F in the fleets.
