Sep 25, 2014 (newstodate): Lufthansa is seeing its traffic serving the Ukrainian market down - but has no plans of pulling out or reducing its services.
In an interview in Ukrainian media the company's VP sales & operations Europa said that passenger volumes had dropped 20 percent during the fist eight months of this year - but Lufthansa does not expect full-year volumes to dip below this level.
Lufthansa is now providing flights to Kiev from Frankfurt, Munich, Vienna, Zurich, Innsbruck,to Lviv, Odessa, Dnepropetrovsk from Munich and Vienna, and to Kharkov from Vienna, totaling 60 weekly flights to Ukraine.
Until the start of the current crisis, Lufthansa also served Donetsk that has however now been dropped.
