Sep 08, 2014 (newstodate): The Icelandic Primera Air Group has announced the change of CEO of the airline.
Stepping down is Jon Karl Olafsson, leaving the seat to Hrafn Thorgeirsson who will take over as CEO of both Primera Air Scandinavia and the new venture, Primera Air Nordic.
Based at Copenhagen, Mr Throgeirsson has served as Primera Air Scandinavia CEO during the last six years.
Seeking new European charter business benefiting from Latvia's competitive cost base, Primera Air Nordic plans for launch of services by October 2014, with initially one of the Primera Air's eight Boeing 737-800 aircraft to be allocated to the new base at Riga Airport, Latvia.
