Sep 22, 2014 (newstodate): The Gulf carrier Etihad Airways has announced plans for opening of yet more routes into the Caucasian markets.
From October 1, 2014, the carrier will launch flights from Abu Dhabi to Baku, in Azerbaijan, offering four weekly rotations on the route
And already from the next day, October 2, 2014, Etihad is also to open flights from Abu Dhabi to Tbilisi, in Georgia, offering three weekly rotations.
On both routes, flights will be operated with Airbus A320 aircraft.
So far into 2014, Etihad has opened flights to seven new destinations - and three more, to be revealed later, will be added before the end of the year.
The airline currently has a total of 104 aircraft in its fleet, with over 200 additional aircraft on firm order, plus options and purchase rights for 81 further aircraft.
