Sep 19, 2014 (newstodate): The start-up carrier Greenland Express is in a restructuring process and has suspended all flights as from today.
On facebook, the carrier says that is now preparing to shift operations to a new aircraft type, presumably an Airbus A320, replacing the Fokker 100 aircraft from Denim Air, its partner from the start of the first flight on June 17, 2014.
The carrier has provided no further information at this stage, but last week told newstodate that a new strong partner is stepping in to participate in a refinancing of the carrier.
On Greenland Express' facebook page, the carrier also indicates that plans are also underway to introduce two smaller aircraft to provide passengers with onward flight connections to destinations in Greenland beyond the Transatlantic airport at Kangerlussuaq.
So far, no date for re-launching flights between Denmark, Iceland and Greenland has been announced.
