Sep 02, 2014 (newstodate): Air Greenland is now calling applicants for the position of Director Cargo.
The opening follows from the retirement of the carrier's current holder of the position, Martin Haagensen, from the end of 2014.
Cargo contributes around 12 percent of the turn-over from Air Greenland's route business.
Air Greenland's cargo business is primarily driven by imports on the trunk route between Greenland and Denmark, while air cargo exports are less steady because of Greenland's demanding infrastructure that renders uplift of especially fresh seafood less viable despite a growing market demand not least due to the current Russian ban on imports from EU and other countries.
