Sep 24, 2014 (newstodate): While media abound in reports on the demise of Greenland Express, the carrier is working towards a resumption of services.
-While we have currently suspended all flights, work is progressing fast on the completion of a new website and a new booking platform, says Gert Brask, Greenland Express CEO.
-We are also in the final stages of negotiations for implementation of a new aircraft type to allow operations directly between Greenland and Denmark, bypassing the cost-inefficient en-route stops on Iceland, and once these issues have been completed we will transfer all documentation to the authorities to clear the way for relaunching flights under a new schedule, while the aircraft itself will be readied for the operation.
-Once all these preparations are in place we will go public, but we really want first to have all details settled to ensure that our passengers will be offered the right product.
-At the same time we will also introduce a frequent flier program to reward our recurrent and loyal passengers, says Mr Brask.
