Sep 29, 2014 (newstodate): Without much fanfare, Finnair Cargo has introduced Airbus A330-600F freighter services between its two European cargo hubs, Helsinki and Brussels.
Form the start of the Brussels operations on March 6, 2013, the two weekly freighter flights between the two hubs have been operated with MD-11F converted freighters from Finnair Cargo's JV carrier Nordic Global Airlines.
But starting already from May 2014, Finnair Cargo has replaced the MD-11F with Airbus A300-600F from European Air Transport.
-The Airbus A300-600F is a better match for the traffic program, offering also better cost-efficient operations, says Milla Nyholm, Finnair Cargo marketing manager.
After this change, Finnair Cargo is operating the MD-11F only on the freighter route between Helsinki and Hong Kong.
