Sep 04, 2014 (newstodate): New airline at Copenhagen Airport will be Etihad Regional from next spring.
The carrier will launch flight on a new route between Dresden and Copenhagen, starting in March 2014 and operated with ATR 72-500 aircraft.
The schedule will be announced at a later date, the carrier says.
Etihad Regional is operated by Switzerlands Darwin Airline, founded in 2003.
The carrier currently operates a fleet of eight Saab 2000 and four ATR 72-500 aircraft leased from the Danish turboprop leasing firm Nordic Aviation Capital, and serving over 30 destinations in Switzerland, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Austria, Serbia, Netherlands and the UK.
The coming route to Denmark will mark the carrier's first entry into the Nordic region.
Etihad now holds 33 percent of the stake in the carrier, and the brand name of Etihad Regional is planned to be rolled out to comprise more airlines, equity-owned or partnering with Etihad.
