Sep 02, 2014 (newstodate): Starting from today, Emirates has completed its Scandinavian coverage by opening flights to Oslo, Norway.
The carrier is now offering daily rotations on the route between Dubai and Oslo, using Boeing 777-300 aircraft.
Oslo already has daily flight connections to Doha with Qatar Airways, while Norwegian is also online on the route between Oslo and Dubai.
In addition to the 352 passenger seats on the new Emirates flights, the carrier will add cargo capacity to serve Norway's exporters of seafood to Asian destinations on the carrier's route network, now offering an extra 238 tonnes of weekly lower-deck capacity to the market.
In July 2014 alone, Emirates already lifted 796 tonnes of export cargo from the Norwegian market.
Emirates first launched flights to Scandinavia with a route between Dubai and Copenhagen from August 1, 2011, and from September 4, 2013 the Gulf carrier introduced flights on its second Scandinavian route between Dubai and Stockholm, Sweden.
