Sep 22, 2014 (newstodate): Copenhagen Airport will soon see the establishing of a new MRO provider on behalf of Boeing.
The aircraft manufacturer has rented part of a 12,000 sq m hangar complex, originally built for Sterling Airways, at Copenhagen Airport aiming at setting up a Boeing GoldCare center offering engineering support, IT support, materials management and other optional services for Boeing 787, Boeing 737NG and Boeing 747 customers.
The hangar is now owned by the US company M. Goldschmidt Aviation that is itself active in the business jet aviation segment with a subdiary in Copenhagen.
The GoldCare center will be operated by MRO partner that is yet to be designated.
Among the potential providers is the Lithuanian company FL Technics that is already a GoldCare partner as well as Germany's Nayak Aircraft Services and the UK company Monarch Aircraft Engineering.
