Aug 08, 2014 (newstodate): The Estonian aircraft maintenance provider AME has long aired intentions of building a new hangar dedicated to aircraft painting - but a no decision has yet announced.
Already in 2011, the former AEM managing director, Lars-Olof Bolinder told newstodate that plans were to build a new hangar for this purpose, in a joint-venture with an unnamed partner.
Still, the intentions to go through with the project are again confirmed by the company's new CEO, Jonas Butautis.
-We are currently evaluating a range of options spanning from carrying through with a partner, to going it alone, says Mr Butautis.
-The original concept did not appeal to the market, so we have had to re-think it. Anyway, a decision on this issue will be made within roughly a month.
