Aug 27, 2014 (newstodate): The latest Russian carrier to lose breath is Moskovia.
After an investigation of the carrier Russia's Federal Air Transport Agency has deprived the carrier the right to operate scheduled passenger flights due to doubts over the airline's ability to sustain the financial requirements including bringing its aircraft to the minimum of eight aircraft as required.
Moskovia will, however, still be able to perform non-scheduled charter operations without limitations.
All scheduled flights by the airline will thus cease from September 1, 2014.
In the fleet now are six aircraft including three Superjet 100, and the airline is planning to add more aircraft in 2014 or 2015, after which it will regain the license to operated regular scheduled flights again.
