Aug 05, 2014 (newstodate): The new Turkish/Ukrainian carrier Atlasjet Ukraine has now set September 15, 2014, as the date for launch of services, delayed from the earlier plans for start by early April 2014 already..
First to come will be flights on the domestic routes from Kiev to Lviv and Odessa, flights to Istanbul from Kiev, Lvov, Kharkov, Odessa as well as flights from Odessa to Tel Aviv.
Further down the line are plans for a range of flights to European destinations once the fleet has been built further from the two aircraft now in the fleet.
From the start, the airline will have three Airbus A320 aircraft, two of which will be based at Lviv Airport, but plans are to grow the fleet to 10 aircraft in 2015 already.
The carrier has been set up by the Turkish Arline Atlasjet and Ukrainian partners and will be managed by its co-owner Sergei Podgorodetsky as CEO.
