Aug 12, 2014 (newstodate): A new aircraft hangar is currently under construction at West Denmark's international airport, Billund Airport.
The 2,600 sq m hangar is designed to accommodate the new Airbus A320 aircraft acquired by Danish Air Transport, DAT, based at Billund Airport to operate for tour operators.
The hangar, to be commissioned by early December 2014, is built by the airport and will be operated by DAT on a leasing contract.
DAT took delivery of its first Airbus A320 in June 2014 and the second aircraft, currently operated by Adria Airways, will follow by the end of October 2014 after a comprehensive pre-delivery check.
The completion of this new hangar at Billund Airport will round-off a series of three hangar projects including one leased by Ryanair and another by Sun-Air, fully exploiting an area dedicated to this purpose in the existing airport development plans.
