Aug 07, 2014 (newstodate): Domestic and international traffic, currently separated in two terminal areas, will be merged at Copenhagen Airport, easing transfers between these two segments.
This follows from a four-year agreement on airport charges between the airport and its airline customers.
The agreement has, however, been negotiated on the airline side by only a select few including the two large international operators, SAS and Norwegian, and is not exactly welcomed by other, smaller domestic airline customers that will suffer from the across the board-leveling of passenger charges which will entail a significant increase in charges in the domestic flights segment.
Between 2014 and 2016, the airport charges per departing passenger on domestic flights will thus increase by more than over 120 percent expected to deal a blow to carriers with no international traffic to and from the airport.
