Aug 12, 2014 (newstodate): The Polish carrier LOT has now taken the ultimate leave of its former long-haul work horse aircraft, the Boeing 767-300ER.
The last Boeing 767 aircraft has thus been sold to the Portuguese carrier Euroatlantic Airways that offers charter and ACMI services from its main base at Portela Airport, Lisbon.
LOT received its first Boeing 767-200 in April 1989, followed by the first Boeing 767-300 in March 1990.
The carrier's long-haul fleet now consists of Boeing 787 aircraft with a total of eight aircraft ordered, six of which have now been delivered.
