Aug 08, 2014 (newstodate): Finnair Cargo saw volumes slight down by 0.3 percent, y-o-y, in July 2014, to 13,302 tonnes.
Growth by 5.3 percent was seen in volumes on passenger flights, totaling 10,507 tonnes, while loads 2,795 tonnes, on freighters were down 17 percent due to downsized freighter operations compared to last year.
Good for Finnair, Asian volumes were up by 6.5 percent to 7,677 tonnes, and the European volumes also increased by 3.9 percent to 2,114 tonnes.
ATKs dropped 18.8 percent while RTKs were up 3.4 percent leading to an improvement in load factor by 16 percentage-points.
In January-July 2014 the company transported a total of 86,990 tonnes, up 5.6 percent, y-o-y.
