Aug 11, 2014 (newstodate): A new low-cost carrier in Georgia has taken to the air this month.
Flyvista, based at Tbilisi Airport, has been set up with the aircraft leasing, charter and management solutions provider Aerovista as its partner and is building up a fleet of Boeing 737-300 aircraft, the first of which landed at the airport on July 10, 2014.
The planned route network will eventually include destinations Almaty in Kazakhstan; Baku, Azerbaijan; Istanbul, Turkey; Kiev, Ukraine; Minsk, Belarus; Moscow, Russia; Prague, Czech Republic and Tehran, in Iran.
