Aug 26, 2014 (newstodate): Croatia is mulling plans for construction of a new international airport.
The projected airport will be constructed the tourist destination Rab Island and will accept both domestic and international air traffic, equipped with a 1,700m runway allowing for traffic with aircraft accommodating up to 150 seats.
Estimates behind the project foresees an annual through-put of 200,000 passengers, and the local tourist industry will also drive a need for handling of air cargo.
