Jul 31, 2014 (newstodate): Sweden's Stockholm Skavsta Airport is seeking a new airport manager.
Dot Gade Kulovuori, Stockholm Skavsta Airport's managing director since 2001 and with the airport from 1998, has been relieved of her position with immediate effect.
Behind the decision by the Board looms the fact that the airport has seen its traffic volume down by some 30 percent after its prime airline customer, Ryanair's decision to close down several of its routes from the airport and limiting its hub activity.
On October 1, 2013, the US company ADC & HAS Airports Worldwide acquired a majority stake at close to 90 percent in Skavsta Airport, with the regional government maintaining the remainder of the shares.
