Jul 03, 2014 (newstodate): The Kazakh carrier SCAT Airlines, based at Shymkent International Airport, has taken delivery of its first Boeing 737-700 aircraft.
The aircraft has been acquired on a leasing contract with Lithuania's AviaAM Leasing that has earlier placed two ex- Small Planet Airlines Boeing 737-500 and several Bombardier CRJ200 aircraft with this customer.
AviaAM, Avia Asset Management was established in February, 2007, as the only company in the Baltic countries as well as in the Central and Eastern European region that specializes in long-term aircraft leasing services.
Still on the EU Black List of airlines barred from entry into the EU, SCAT Airlines also plans to set up a new cargo subsidiary in addition to its current passenger operations.
