Jul 29, 2014 (newstodate): Over a 12-month running period ending and including June 2014, the Swedish IATA export airfreight market grew modestly by 2.57 percent, y-o-y, to a total of 103,574 tonnes.
Topping the list among IATA airlines, SAS Cargo ranked #1 with 15,710 tonnes while declining 2.31 percent, y-o-y.
Close on the heels of SAS Cargo were KLM Cargo with 12,781 tonnes after rising no less than 45.21 percent, and Lufthansa Cargo with 11,504 tonnes but down by 3.44 percent during the period.
The three carriers thus held markets shares at 15.17, 12.34 and 11.11 percent, respectively.
Among Sweden's IATA freight forwarders DHL Global Forwarding kept its #1 position with 24,017 tonnes and a market share at 23.19 percent, followed by Geodis Wilson with 20,470 tonnes - 19.76 percent of the market, and Schenker, 8.53 percent, with 8,834 tonnes.
But of these, only Schenker managed to increase its volumes by 42.20 percent while DHL Global Forwarding shrank 12.27 and Geodis Wilson nine percent, y-o-y.
