Jul 321, 2014 (newstodate): June 2014 proved an unusually positive month for Finland's IATA export cargo volumes.
After a prolonged period of decline, the IATA carriers saw their joint export up volumes up by 6.96 percent, y-o-y, to 3,419 tonnes.
The positive growth was not, however, driven by the country's national carrier Finnair that saw volumes down by 7.6 percent to 1,181 tonnes.
The growth was rather generated by #2 on the list, Lufthansa Cargo with 526 tonnes and up 26.05 percent, and #3, Qatar Airways, up 221.86 percent to 269 tonnes.
Turkish Airlines ranked #4 with 240 tonnes, up 64.93 percent, followed by Cargolux with 197 tonnes and up 3.05 percent.
Otherwise strong in the Nordic region, #6 KLM Cargo saw volumes down by 51.74 percent to 160 tonnes, while #6, Emirates increased by 19.49 percent to 140 tonnes.
Finnair's market share was 34.54 percent, Lufthansa Cargo held 15.38 and Qatar Airways 7.88 percent, respectively.
