Jul 30, 2014 (newstodate): The Lithuanian carrier Air Lituanica started seasonal flights from Vilnius to Billund, in western Denmark, from June 16, 2014 - and this has proved a success.
So much so that the carrier has decided to continue flights beyond the summer season on the route that would otherwise have stopped from this autumn.
Air Lituanica will thus continue the operation, offering two weekly rotations as the only carrier to provide direct air services between Lithuania and western Denmark.
Air Lituanica is offering flights from Vilnius to Berlin, Brussels, Prague, Munich, Paris, Tallinn, Billund and Amsterdam.
In the fleet now is one Embraer 175 as well as one ATR72-600, leased from DOT and replacing the CRJ-200 earlier leased from the Danish carrier Cimber Air.
