Jun 13, 2014 (newstodate): The coming week will mark two important events in commercial aviation on the Faroe Islands.
On June 17, 2014, the official opening of the new passenger terminal at Vagar Airport will take place, adding fresh potentials to the airport's endeavors to attract more airline business by offering new and more comfortable passenger convenience following on years with a primitive and small terminal that has long since passed its capacity ceiling.
On the next day, the Faroe Islands' national carrier Atlantic Airways will present its new strategy for the carrier under the management by Jorgen Holme, who took up his position as interim CEO by the end of November 2013.
Mr Holme was installed as "the Board of Directors wants the company to move in a new direction" as stated by a release sent out at that time.
