Jun 18, 2014 (newstodate): Set against sustained problems with fulfilling its pledges to return to profitable operations, SAS is now ready to break with its long-time strategy based on Copenhagen Airport as its traffic hub.
-We are planning new direct routes from Oslo and Stockholm to North America and Asia, starting in autumn 2015, says Rickard Gustafson, SAS President and CEO, in comments to the SAS Group interim report H1 2014.
SAS is currently offering only flights from Oslo to New York and flights from Stockholm to New York and Chicago beyond its Copenhagen-based intercontinental traffic program.
