Jun 27, 2014 (newstodate): One Czech carrier is now definitively to retreat to history.
Privately-owned Central Connect Airlines will cease operations from the end of this month after years battling with bankruptcy after the withdrawal of support from its investors.
Currently operating the route between Pori and Helsinki in Finland with one SAAB 340 aircraft, the carrier has been on and off several times since it performed its first flight on November 4, 2005.
At its peak in 2011, the carrier operated a fleet comprising eight SAAB 340 and two Boeing 737-300 aircraft.
