Jul 27, 2014 (newstodate): The four Nordic markets performed very unevenly in May 2014, according to the monthly CASS statistics on export air cargo volumes.
Finland got through the month with volumes almost unchanged against May last year, down only 0.78 percent to 3,170 tonnes.
The Swedish IATA export cargo market fared the worst, with volumes down 21.31 percent, y-o-y, to 7,179 tonnes.
In Norway, volumes continued to soar with an increase by 21.96 percent to 10,811, however also reflecting the inclusion, since February only, of Asiana that contributed 724 tonnes to the statistics.
Denmark, however, also saw the volumes down by 19.28 percent, to 5,814 tonnes.
Here statistics may prove misleading as SAS Cargo reportedly dropped 78.58 percent to a mere 305 tonnes which hardly represents its real values.
