Jun 30, 2014 (newstodate): Growth-wise, Lufthansa Cargo did not excel in the latest CASS statistics covering the Nordic region's export airfreight volumes on IATA carriers in May 2014.
The company was down in volumes in three of four markets, while absent from the top-10 list in the Norwegian market.
In Sweden, Lufthansa Cargo dropped the most compared to last year, down 27,24 percent to 736 tonnes. This still ranked the company #2 with 10.25 percent of the market that dropped 21.31 percent to 7,179 tonnes in May 2014.
Lufthansa Cargo was also down in the Danish market, generating 520 tonnes after dropping 15.68 percent in the market that was over-all down 19.28 percent, y-o-y, to 5,814 tonnes.
Ranked #4, Lufthansa Cargo thus held 8.95 percent of the IATA export air cargo market in Denmark.
In Finland, Lufthansa cargo was down 11.09 percent to 446 tonnes, ranking #2 with a market share at 14,07 percent while the market was over-all down only 0.78 percent to 3,170 tonnes.
In the largest Nordic IATA cargo market, Norway, Lufthansa Cargo did not make it to the Top-10 list while over-all IATA export cargo volumes increased again by 21.96 percent, y-o-y, to 10,811 tonnes.
