Jun 23, 2014 (newstodate): Star Alliance partner airlines LOT and Turkish Airlines are again expanding their code-share traffic between the capital of the two countries.
Starting from July 1, 2014, both airlines will add a fifth frequency on the route between Warsaw and Istanbul.
In addition to this, the code-share agreement will also comprise LOT's flights from Warsaw to Brussels and Vienna as well as the domestic flight to Krakow, while adding also Turkish Airlines' flights from Istanbul to Cairo, Amman, New Delhi and Mumbai and its domestic flight to Ankara.
The close relations between the carrier also led to talks from 2012 about Turkish Airlines to take a stake in the Polish carrier that has long been searching for a partner to infuse fresh capital.
The carrier is 68 percent owned by the Polish state and has been the object of privatization since 2011.
