Jun 12, 2014 (newstodate): Japan Air Lines is now present in all three Baltic markets.
Well, not by own flights but in a code-share agreement with Finnair on flights between Helsinki and Tallinn in Estonia and Vilnius in Lithuania from this spring.
The latest addition is the further expansion of the code-share agreement to cover also flights between Helsinki and Riga, in Latvia, starting from July 12 2014, and rounding off the Baltic connection.
All Baltic flights are operated by Finnair and Flybe Nordic, while JAL is on-line at Helsinki since the first flight from Tokyo Narita Airport on February 25, 2013.
The flights between Japan and Finland are performed in a code-share with Finnair that has also bought the cargo capacity on JAL's flights.
Finland remains the only Nordic market with on-line services by JAL since the late 80'ies when the carrier stopped its services at Denmark's Copenhagen Airport.
