Jun 06, 2014 (newstodate): The Dutch CAA has now formally added the Fokker 100 aircraft to Denim Air's AOC, marking yet another step forward towards the launch of services by Greenland Express.
-We have received the approval by the Dutch CAA for adding the aircraft to our AOC, and the aircraft is thus now certified to operate flights within Europe, says Ronald Janssen, Denim Air CEO.
-After this, we have immediately forwarded the papers to the Danish CAA, Trafikstyrelsen, that will next be responsible for approving the aircraft for operations on trans-Atlantic flights between Denmark and Greenland. We cannot of course speculate on how long this process will last, but at least we are one further step ahead now.
-With our amended AOC we can now fly Greenland Express' Fokker 100 within Europe, and we are actually already to perform ad-hoc charter operations these coming days, says Mr Janssen.
