Jun 04, 2014 (newstodate): From this summer, Finnair is to double the number of destinations served with own flights in Russia.
First to come are flights from Helsinki to Nizhny Novgorod International Airport starting from July 25, 2014, followed by the opening of flights on the route from Helsinki to Samaras Kurumoch International Airport from August 7, and to Kazan International Airport from August 18, 2014 - all served with three weekly rotations using Embraer E90 aircraft operated on behalf of Finnair by Flybe Finland.
Finnair is already flying twice-daily to St Petersburg, nine times weekly to Moscow Sheremetyevo and four times per week to Yekaterinburg.
Through its oneworld partner S7 Airlines, Finnair also offers codeshare connections to Moscow Domodedovo and onward to Kazan, Novosibirsk, Rostov-on-Don, Samara, Ufa and Yekaterinburg.
